Trade TRP for EMP?
I have a Professional, a TRP Champ and a Custom Carry Compact... The 5" TRP is awesome but not "needed"... especially with a Warren Tactical 9mm on the way... So I figure why not trade for something I dont have.
A 9mm EMP sure would compliment the WTL...
What are your thoughts??

If the gun is not needed, then get rid of it for something that you want.

Love my EMP9. An excellent CCW EDC. Been thinking about getting a big brother for my EDC; Springfield 1911-1A Bi-Tone SS Loaded.

Loving it is one thing. Trading a much more expensive 1911 for it is another.

Need has little or nothing to do with growing your collection.
I would not trade a TRP for an EMP.

You are going to ask for boot right? Or at least 3 or 4 other guns along with the EMP right?

I've seen EMP NIB range from $1048 - $1350(+).

Sounds reasonable, keep TRP & save $$$ for an EMP.

So was it a outright trade as in one for one or were you going to sell the TRP, use some of the cash for the EMP and pocket the rest?

Do me a big favor. You go on Gunbroker and search both the TRP and EMP and then report back with your findings on what each gun is selling for.
$1350 for an EMP is highway robbery. Anybody paying that much for one deserves to get hosed.
Like I said before I was quoted, the TRP is a much more expensive 1911. You don't trade it for an EMP. The whole idea is ridiculous.

I figured i'd find an EMP in the 700-800 dollar range and put some cash in my pocket but I always wanted to build my TRP so it looks like I'll be keeping it.
The TRP Champion is not for sale... EVER
