Happy Birthday Quake! Ill be sharing in your celebration tonight. Scored some Cohibas from a tiny island near Florida who's name I can't seem to recall the name of right now.....

Bought a Spyderco sharp maker two weeks ago. That thing is a lot of fun. I'm running out of stuff to sharpen! Ill be borrowing the neighbor's knives soon.

Been finding various ammo scattered about.

And a surefire propolymer 4aa for $18.99.

Got my order in from Pleasant Hill Grain. I am pleased with it. They got it to me pretty quick and it was well packaged. I tried the Yoders canned bacon. Pretty darned good straight out of the can!! Bacony goodness!! I also opened a can of the Red Feather canned butter. Looks like butter, smells like butter, tastes like butter! I didnt try the cheese. I am happy with the products and this company. I will be ordering more products from them!

Pocket Rocket and some fuel, some more water purification tabs. And some Exotic Energy Bars... need something better, Calorie count is pretty low on those but thought they would do in a pinch.

Checked out a gym I am going to join next week. Changed the oil on my car. Looked for a new vehicle that will be more bug out friendly. Discovered a new workout routine for my shoulders that should help with some issues I have been having. Also been reading a book about pistol marksmanship to try and get some dry drills for my new g21. Next week I may get the duty holster so I can work on that. Mainly trying to get in shape for a hopeful reserve police/deputy gig. That will allow me more training opportunities and help me with my skills.

Two things today so far..

Went to the commissary and they had Hunt's pasta sauces, 26.5oz cans, for .50..

I bought.. a couple.

And in the next week I am going to motorize our CLGM, (mostly because I bought a 1/2 h.p. motor at a gargae sale for $1 last weekend..) it is going to be on a timer.. So I made a hopper so I can set the timer, and come back to the days flour..

Today I paid on two gun layaways, a holster layaway, and on a quality delta drill press for my shop. Also joined the local gym. Bought some parts to put on my daily driver if I feel up to it tomorrow which will help reliability. Passed on a 100 pack of win white box so I could join the gym. Might start setting up my reloading press.

Spent about three hours yesterday decapping & sizing 9mm brass. While I've been reloading for a long time (30 years? It's been since before I met my wife and we've been together for almost 28 years now), I've not loaded 9mm in the past since it's been so cheap historically. Do have the dies & components and have been saving brass for several years now; so this weekend I started up on this caliber as well. Don't know how many I have done, but several gallons of 9mm brass decapped & sized yesterday.

Sad part is, even 9mm and even shooting reloads, is still going to be $6-$8 a box nowadays.

Then again, maybe I'm just a cheapskate.

A few small things, ammo, food stores, etc.

Two pretty big preps... Raise at work so increasing savings. And a backyard garden. (Pic below)

And one HUGE prep.... Paid off my car!Five year loan in 13 months! Back to no debt except the house and we are on track to pay that off almost 10 years early.

I was using youtube (a great research tool) in investigating modification of web gear. In the process, I found and purchased, on line, 1 inch black webbing material attached to plastic closures by using an industrial sewing machine - call them straps. I also went to my local sewing center and purchased heavy duty needles and outdoor thread that could work with blue jeans.

Sometimes the most mundane form of non glamorous preparations might be more important than buying just one more whizbang piece of gear.

Had the septic tanks pumped, waited a year or so too long, again! Stupid to have been flirting with it this past couple years.
