The Okie Corral

Frank Costanza: "Many Christmases ago, I went to buy a doll for my son. I reached for the last one they had, but so did another man. As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way."
Cosmo Kramer: "What happened to the doll?"
Frank Costanza: "It was destroyed. But out of that a new holiday was born: a Festivus for the rest of us!"
Kramer: "That must have been some kind of doll."
Frank Costanza: "She was."

I started too early and ended up banned from GTRI.

I'm a day late. Happy Festivus. I started this year with using Festivus as my holiday of choice. I hate the decorating and waste and "requirement" of Christmas. I kept getting flack for not doing Santa or a tree or lights for my son, like I'm the worst dad in the world. I said what about Jewish families? They don't do any of that and they aren't terrible. No dice. Everyone always has an excuse. Festivus it is. I get to celebrate with my son on my terms, he gets his presents 2 days before his friends, and his mom and other family still has Christmas. So it's a win-win for him. He get's something special just between him and his dad, and I get to shut everyone else up about Santa.

Also, donations have been made to The Human Fund.

I'm in the back smoking some ribs. Perfect Festivus, as far as I'm concerned.
