First 2013 1911

After a lot of agonizing and reading I bought a CCO that I intend to carry! I have been jonesing for a long time. I bought a STI Guardian and sold it after shooting it once. It just wasn't 'right' for me. Then I bought the old Springfield Compact that is too pretty to scratch or alter. Then I went back to thinking I wanted a LB Stinger. For whatever reason I backed off of that idea every time I was about to send CJ the deposit.

This came to my attention a few days ago, and I got butterflies!
Guncrafter Industries Stainless CCO

It should land at my FFL on Friday or Saturday! Hopefully Bac's words that I adopted for a sig line will ring true!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Thanks Steel Head. I really like the clean look as well.
I haven't even seen a GCI in person, so I'm a little nervous about this but have heard only good things about them.

Dang I can't get the picture to copy properly.
I guess I'll have to wait until it's here to post a pic.

Thank You. Thank God I don't have to rely on computer picture skills to make a living.

Joe, you're the best! Thanks.

We're all anxiously awaiting to hear your thoughts on it. Those of us who have Guncrafters know exactly what you're about to get and have no doubt that you'll be more than pleased.

Thanks.

Oddly enough there isn't that much info 'out there'.
I've search all over regarding this one being stainless since
previously they were hard chromed.

I'm really excited. I don't expect to own more than one GCI and wanted a CCO so hopefully this does scratch the itch.

I've read a few things that one of the smiths from GCI has posted and am impressed by his words.

Here are the three stainless GI No Name 1911s. The back one will
be my first for 2013.

Sweet. I think you came out on top of that deal!

FAA, do you have any info regarding the CCO being stainless.
Dave (thanks for the referral from both you and Glock2740) is going to let me know if he hears anything. He also mentioned some lube that Alex sends out with the stainless guns.

I forgot to mention it to the dealer that I'm buying it from.

Glock2740 do you own one of those? Is that the 'three amigos"?

Those are so nice looking. I love the simple, graceful lines.

Man, I hope it comes on Friday!

I keep meaning to check out the Enos site. I've heard good stuff about that lube.

I thought the Rig grease is more of a preservation grease.

Must not have stainless galling!

Thanks FAA. Damn that is a nice looking gun.
Have you shot it yet? I'm thinking you are too busy with family.
Soon?

I'm not into shiny guns but I got to admit that is a beauty
I have been running Slide-glide for a bit now-stays put and works well in freezing temps.
