Knives of 2013 - What have you bought, and what's on the list?

This year, same as last, I'm really looking forward to the Zero Tolerance 0777, though who knows if I'll actually get my hands on one. Also will be on the lookout for the ZT 0560 CBCF and a few past special edition/limited run Benchmades and Kershaws. Will also be ordering the ZT 0566, 0770, and 0801 when they're released.

I also have plans to get a few more of my current knives customized, namely my ZT 0200, 0400, and Boker Burnely Kwaiken.

New this year:
Kershaw Tyrade
Kershaw Centofante
Spyderco Southard *lost*
Kershaw frankenBlur, S30V blade with silver twill handle insert

Kershaw frankenBlur, CPM-154 blade with green/CF handle
ZT 0777
Kershaw damascus Skyline *sold*
Kershaw damascus Chive *sold*
Kershaw damascus Scallion *sold*
Kershaw damascus Shallot
Kershaw Blur, ZDP-189 composite blade

ZT 0560CBCF
Swamp Rat Ratmandu CG, sage coated SR101 and tan canvas micarta

Ever since I got more into handguns last year, my knife-buying has pretty much stopped.

I used to drop $3-400 on a new Busse every few months - now I would totally rather drop that on a gun.

With that said, I have been rotating my 3 Spyderco Delicas for the past 4 years - I think I am going to make the switch to the Endura...

So, an Endura or three are in my immediate future.

See, I'm the opposite. After buying a few pistols and building another AR last year, I'm sick of buying them, and switched back to knives. Good timing, too, what with all the current craziness!

It is a great time to get back into knives...

Unless they ban those too

I'm going to order a ZT0303 tomorrow or the next day. Where did you get ZT knives.

My Spyderco Southard just shipped and I'm waiting for the nutnfancy Lionspy to ship. I'd like to get my hands on a ZT 0550 with the black blade, as well as a 0551.

Have you ever heard of hrknives.com? I found them, and their prices are great. I haven't ordered yet, hopefully later today I will be able to.

No I haven't heard of them.

Actually, I get most of my knives new or like new off the exchange on Bladeforums, usually at a pretty steep discount.

Traded a friend of mine for a
Smith and Wesson Extreme Ops CK70 folding knife. I don't have a picture of it but this is what it looks like;

http://www.outdoorpros.com/Prod/Smit...e/16695/Cat/20

8 1/2" Over all length
3 3/4" blade
Belt clip on reverse side

Made in China but I just like the way it looks.

Got a new one and one back from being customized today. The new one is a ZT 0700, and the other is a Benchmade 12800 Gaucho with a custom carbon fiber handle. Love it!

Started with an ESEE Candiru with a Dark Star Gear sheath. Just found my holy grail set after 3 plus years of searching. A new set of Kelly McCann designed Blackhawk Crucibles ( fixed, folder and trainer). Have been carrying the more beat up folder in the pic for 4 years or so.

I know it's nothing special but as a broke college kid I bought a Spyderco Manix 2 g10. And a CRKT Fire Spark. I know it's nothing like a ZT but I enjoy them and work at a carpet store so my blades are used multiple times a day.

My Centofante and Tyrade came in today, two pretty cool discontinued Kershaws. Shown with a ZT 301 for scale:

Sent off both the ZT 0200 and 0400 today, can't wait to see what they look like when they're done!

Went to a gunshow last weekend and Ed Youngman had a booth there so now I think I'll end up giving him a call one of these days. I really hate seeing custom knives because then I get the itch to get more.

I'd rather carry a Spyderco than a ZT any day. Nothing wrong with the tools you have.

What are you having done?
The 200 is getting the DLC stripped off the blade, which will then be stonewashed. Will also be getting blue/black sculpted G10 scales.

The 400 will be getting the DLC stripped off the blade, which will the be acid washed and stonewashed. The handle will be getting the black anodization bead blasted off for a satin finish.
