22 TCM Micro Mag reloading

Anyone reload the new 22 TCM Micro-Mag round?

I have all the reloading components and the die set however I cannot find the powder, Win 296 or H110.So have not been able to work up any loads.

So, just wanted to see if anyone else is working up any loads.

As Reloaders we should adapt the load to the gun, not the gun to the load.

Well, somewhat.

Here is my review in the 1911 forum about the 22 TCM Micr-Mag.

it's an awesome little round that can do 2000fps.

This round totally intrigues me... Can you form brass from 9mm? Are there barrels available to convert my STI Spartan 9mm 1911? I assume that I could use my existing 9mm mags?

No, the TCM cannot be made from a 9mm brass. However the brass is available to buy, new or once fired.

As of now there are no conversion barrels. Armscor (RIA)/Fred Craig are the sole proprietor for the 22 TCM. I'm not sure if a patent is pending on the ammo or gun. Maybe it will be opened up later for other Manufacturers to produce their own 22 TCM gun. It will probably depend on how well it is received by the gun world and as of now it's looking really good.

The 22 TCM will fit in a 9mm mag, if the mag is deep enough. RIA's TCM/9mm uses the same mag for both rounds.

Update:

I found some Win 296 instock on line at Cabela's, hope to have it in a week or less. Once I get the powder I'll sent up a Dillon 550 to load. I will use the .223 conversion kit and powder bar and the Lee TCM dies. I'll let you know how it works out.

My bro just got a few from shot show, pretty neat little round. It is now in my collection of cartridges, just wish it was also in my collection of firearms.

With RIA increased production hopefully we will see more TCM guns this year. Hopefully the craziness will be on the down turn also.
