What can anyone tell me about the Beretta Tomcat in 32ACP? I have a chance to get a new never fired one at a great price. How do they hold up and how do the feel. I am looking to use it as a pocket carry gun and also something that my mother, she just turned 70, can shoot. How is the recoil? I have a LCP but it is too hard on her hands.

Mine works great.

Recoil can be a bit snappy though.

My wife loves hers in Titanium.



I also have a stored new one in Black that one daughter thought was too small for her hands. I Bought her a 642 she liked.

Wife cannot rack a slide (spent last Week re-affirming this at various gun stores) so the tip-up barrel works for her. (or the 642 she also has).

She chooses her own carry as do all the rest of the family.

Check other threads, I think I read where they had a problem with the slides cracking.

I love mine. Never had a problem with it. It's a great pocket pistol, but I really don't carry it anymore since I got a PM9.

Recoil isn't bad. It's more than a .22, but definitely less than a 9mm.

I would recommend FMJ ammo for carry instead of a JHP. A .32 isn't a great penetrator to begin with, and a JHP isn't going to help in that regard. Both Fiocchi and S&B make 73 gr FMJ that are faster than any American brand.
