Hi y'all,
I've been looking at a Glock to add to my small collection. Currently, I have two Kimber 1911 .45's (Custom CDP II and Ultra TLE II), and an S&W 686p. After doing some research I decided on the 30SF. The 21SF was looking good until they sold out at Bud's and I'm glad they did because the more I think about it (too much), I don't really need a full size service handgun. Just target and home protection.
So, the gun-control agenda propaganda machine is at full tilt and we are scrambling to get a better foothold on our 2nd Amendment rights. Along with the whole of the Constitution, especially the first 10 Amendments (Bill of Rights), I believe that it is not only a right to protect yourself against tyranny, but a universal law.
I want to say upfront that I am NOT "liberal" OR "conservative." I did not vote for Obamney [sic] but I did vote. I believe that the two party system is a sham, just like 911, the "war on drugs" and the "war on terror." It is not a left/right thing, IMO, and I wish people would get over/through that mode of thinking.
Also, I don't watch FOX, CNN, MSNBC, any MSM (mainstream media) or even local news. In fact, I don't watch TV at all. And no Hollywood movies for me anymore either (it's been this way for over a year; not just because of the recent anti-gun Hollywood "commercial" ("Enough.") backlash).
Now if you're highly excitable, brace yourself for this part:
Full disclosure. I detest trophy hunting and trapping (especially for wolves and "big game") and I've been a vegetarian for the past six months and a vegan for the past two months. I'm not apologizing and I don't care what anyone thinks of it. Too old for that.
So, I just really needed to say all that and hope that I'm still welcome. If not, no problem. But I'm hoping you can look for the similarities and not the differences. I'm really looking forward to getting some good advise by reading and asking questions. And maybe offering my opinion on some gun questions and political issues once in a while. Thanks!
