My 2012 CCW Results.

Greetings - Here is what I carried in 2012. Most will not care, but hope some of you find this interesting. I do jot down what model handgun I carry on any outing away from the house on my calender. Excessive recording? Perhaps, but it just takes a moment, and I like stats. Please enjoy, and Happy New Year.

Glocks:

G36-96...G39-71...G37-15...G23-15...G38-10.

Others:

Ruger LCP-40...SA XD40SC-5...Para Ord (10-45)-3

You know, somehow your avatar seems perfectly suited to this sort of ... precision in records-keeping.

Hey, whatever floats your boat, though.

Personally, I have a hard enough time keeping records/documentation of just my qual sessions (meaning not my practice or other training sessions).

Of course, I've qualified with enough personally-owned handguns so that I could carry a different one every day, and not have to carry the same one twice in a little over a month.

I wish I spent the same attention to where I put my cellphone and keys that you do for which weapon you're carrying out of the house.

Great replies! Most of us do things that are difficult to explain. I am an historian, by education, and employment, so it fits. And the non-carrying times were when I was at work. I do count "carry-times" as when I carry a handgun on my person; walking around the neighborhood, mall, library, etc. So I may go a few days without any carry at all, or twice in one day. It varies. And I do sometimes misplace my keys!

HNY!!!

Mine is pretty easy.

Glock 23 351 days. ( was on a cruise and a couple of short business trips.)

Glock 17 and 19 1 day. (it was supposed to be the end if the world so I wanted both on me.)

posted from my stupid smart phone, please excuse any spelling mistakes.

Cool idea. I think that I'm going to do this for 2013. I have a FEELING of what gun(s) I tend to carry most often, it would be nice to know for sure though. Like you mentioned, it only takes a second to keep track of. Little notebook in the safe will serve this purpose just fine...

Ok!

I find it an interesting exercise, but not for everyone. Noted how much more I carry the G36, and to a lesser degree, the G39 over all others. Warm weather here (and shorts), means the LCP is the primary arm to carry. Plan on getting a Steyr S40-A1 soon so that will go into the rotation at some point. Cheers.

Excessive or is it obsessive? Either way, interesting. No count for me, but if I had to guess, I'd say G26 @ 65%, Colt CCO @ 25% and S&W M36 @ 10%.

I carried a G37 along with a G39 on one outing. but found it too cumbersome, and probably uneeded - I hope! Cheers.

i'm allowed to carry my G19 or my Sig p229 since they're the two weapons i qualified with for my agency. i prefer to carry Glocks since they're much lighter and mags are cheaper

I have to admit my 26 is my easy to grab gun and it goes out the door with me almost everyday. On ocasion I have a pit of the tummy feeling and will grab the 17 and add it to the waistband and retire the 26 to my ankle. I keep a few 33 round sticks in the car for good measure just in case. When I know I will be in the woods and specially during deer season I opt for my 20. A bit large for me , but I can conceal it as good as anything the size of a box of cornflakes.
Then my Sunday go to church gun is my HK p7 PSP . I have a Null IWB holster for it and it vanishes on my hip.
Sometimes I am feeling sporty and nostalgic and will grab one of my wheelguns for a quick trip to town.
Not that I have to , but as a note.. I do practice and qualify with each of these often. You can never be to ready .

Always fun - deciding which pistol/revolver to carry that day. Cheers.
