FTF, SHOT Show 2013
Browsing the videos from the show, I watched them test firing the new Gen 4 G20 and G29.
The first video, 5 shots with a FTF on the last one.
5 shots, switches guns and another FTF at the end.
Was that another FTF?
He fired 5 shots, switched guns fire 4 then stopped looked at the gun, and removed the magazine.
In 3 out of 4 Glock videos I just watched from the show, they had a malfunction.

They've been out for 7 or 8 months, and I haven't read or heard of a single issue. Something else is going on there.

I've had my Gen 4 20 since June. Runs like a champ. No FTF or FTE's using my handloads with a KKM 6" barrel.
Great gun and great caliber. Real blaster!

I know my Gen 3 20 SF runs 100%. Don't see the need for the new gizmos if they won't run reliably.
Is that the ChiComs in that last video?!?! Wonder if they'd let us go to China and attend one of THEIR weapons trade shows.

So the first video he blames "operator error" but he works for Glock. If a Glock rep. doesn't know how to shoot a Glock, who does? I can't believe these vids won't create a flurry of emails internally at Glock.

I am thinking the cause may be the weak Federal ammo in conjunction with the dual recoil spring. It may not be powerful enough to cycle the slide with that spring.
It looked like the Chinaman may have been limpwristing at first, but then why the malfunctions in the other two videos? It doesn't make sense.
I think I will stick with my Gen 3 G20 SF. Thanks but no thanks.

I have a gen 3 20sf with a KKM and I couldn't be happier. I trust my life with it 100%. Shot a gen 4 once, had no problems aside from one FTE on the last round with DT ammo.
Not sure why Glock is messing with perfection...if they want to get more out of the gen 3, they should make a better trigger or do something else for cosmetic purposes. I wouldn't mind a slightly bigger trigger guard to be able to use with gloves easier in the winter.
I see gen 4s selling for $700+ locally.

If that's the case, you'd think Glock would have known that before SHOT Show.

Hard to believe that Glock wouldn't have known Federal is weak. Seems more likely that they intentionally chose weak ammo to give the impression that the gun is a soft shooter.

Also, you would think that Glock would have test fired a prospective weapon to be used for a demo.
One can only wonder..
