Free float Quad Rail
I would like to add a quad rail to finish customizing my PSA PA-15 M4. I have read then when shooting off shooting sticks its better to have a free float Handgaurd. I am not really comfortable with doing a normal free float job myself and was thinking of using one of the easy install free float rails which don't require little or no modification of the firearm. Has anyone used the 3 below. I like the price of the Midwest industries but have read the Daniel Defense is the best. Do I really need a free float handgaurd for varmint hunting 200 yards or less or would a basic drop in Quad rail work? Thanks for the help

If going with a drop-in, Daniel Defense is hard to beat.
If going with a one piece, a LaRue or Troy is my pick.

With the Midwest Industry rail, you will need to make some alterations.
You need to attach the rail rigidly to the upper, and not the barrel or front sight post. That is going require the removal of the delta ring and springs.
I have installed the MI Gen II model on two rifles and it is not a difficult job. I used a Dremel to cut the delta ring, etc. The MI rail is light and it works very well. Check out the specs and compare costs.
I am not familiar with the other rails you listed .
Good luck.

If you are just concerned about deflection when shooting off is sticks,
you will be fine. The barrel deflection comes from pressure from a sling mostly.
Every bit will help, if you want a good drop in, with no mods to the rifle,
the Daniel Defense Omega is the only quality option.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
DD would be my suggestion, too. The one thing I will warn you on is that the large flat head screws that hold the upper and lower halves together are pretty soft, and the heads can be easily damaged if you try to go He-Man with the screwdriver.

Daniel Defense. I would not be to concerned about a free float if you are trying to punch a hole in a coyote out to 200. Depending on your yote sizes you have about a 6-8 inch kill zone that will roll them up every time, sometimes even bigger. Buy a bolt 22-250 and never look back.

You bet it does. I am a huge fan of that round. Ive been shooting it for a few years now. Ive called for people that have shot yotes with 223, I have shot yotes with 223. 22-250 just puts them down with more authority, like you pulled the cord out of the wall. Couple agonal breaths and its over.
