Is there a actual difference in dovetail size between the GL1010 Trijicons meant for the smaller frame Glocks and the GL1040s meant for the Glock 20/21? Or is it a difference in sturdiness for the snappier cartridges? I have a set of 1010s and I'd like to know before I push the stock sights out of my 21.
The difference in POI should be whatever the difference would be between the stock Glock 9MM sights (one liner's) and the stock 45 sights (+1's, or one short line over the basic line).
See "http://www.glock.com/english/options_rearsight.htm" for the Glock sight heights and what Glock says the POI difference would be between the different sights.
My GUESS is that the POI difference for the sights you are talking about would be about 2 inches at 25 yards. The lower rear sight height (the one you have) would cause the POI to be about 2 inches higher than the ones specified for the 45.
