Will the Glock 30S replace the G30?

Will the G30S replace the G30? I think it might. What do you think? Here is a video showing the difference between the two.

I would be surprised if they kept 3 varieties of the same model (30, 30S, 30 SF), but who knows. Not like they are producing a completely new pistol.

No it won't replace it. 30s is just another alternative. There are those of us who like the G30 as it is just fine.

No tooling change to make the different versions so they will continue to offer them all.

I haven't bought a Glock in a long time, when the 30s becomes available I'll probably be getting one specially since I have holsters and mags from a 30 I used to own.

They did what a lot of people ask them to do:
Put a 36 slide on a 30!

I've had both the G30 and G36 and love em both. Socially speaking... When holstered the G36 is a better gun. Once leather is cleared, the G30 is a way better gun. I lean toward the G30 since the issue is more weight than bulk for me.

I question if the G30S is the best of both guns or the least of both guns. The guys who make their own just rave about them so there must be something there. For once I'll wait and see on this one.

I like heavier G30 for a better muzzle flip control, and it won't float on the water.

I just read something from a reputable source (Mas Ayoob) about the G30S that has bearing on it replacing the G30 anytime soon.

Barrels for the G30 and G30SF, which includes third-party barrels, are not interchangeable with the G30S barrel. WTF?

Reference: g30s and g30sf, are the barrel interchangeable?
