your opinions please: G7 vs. Gen4 27

I just bought a new G27, that fits my hand perfect. I like everything about it, including the grip texture. I have to say, I very recently sold my Gen4 17 out of sheer frustration with the r.s.a. I love the little 27 and shoot it better than my 17. But, now I take the time to read that the Gen4 27 has a dual spring now and it will far outlast the old system. I shoot 100's not 1,000's a year. Should I be concerned? My first thought is, I'm getting away from the r.s.a. that burned me "literally" with my Gen4. I would really like some feedback from you guys.

The G27 has always used a dual spring assembly. As far as the sub compacts are concerned, the dual spring is not Gen4 unique.

Thanks..I think the only l time I've seen/read the official description is on the Glock.com site. It really sounds like you're missing out if you don't go Gen4. Guess it's marketing.

Was your Gen4 G17 made around or before 2011? I know there was a recall for RSA's to be shipped back to Smyra and get a new one. I think your RSA # should be 043. That's what it says on Gen4 G19 I bought last March. It shoots fine.

I have a G27 Gen4 on layaway currently so I can't speak yet on how it shoots with dual spring. I say use quality ammo in it, nice firm grip, proper cleaning and shoot it as much as you can. I'll eventually give a range report on mine when I get it

It was a "No" to the portion of his post that I had isolated and quoted.
He should not be concerned.
Not in the slightest.
Just keep on shootn'.
