+2 Remington extension
Local store has a factory Remington the extension. $68 for it. Comes with spring. Worth the money? Should I buy it. Last one he has and getting harder to find.

There are much better choices out there.
The factory unit works however it is a complicated part with unnecessary components, IMO, and in the views of others. Factory extensions are everywhere for the same price. Let him keep it and you instead buy from someone such as Vang, Scattergun or S&J Hardware.
You will be much happier and if you buy from one of those companies, there is no need to buy the clamp because those products are well-engineered and built and don't need it.

I went and looked at the Remington kit. Finish wasn't all that great. Figured for that much money it would be a little nicer. Seemed kinda flimsy and cheap to me.

Wilson is outta stock on their extensions currently. Guess I'm gonna have to wait until the hoopla calms down
