Rahm Emanuel presses banks on guns...

-via BCM

Quote:
Emanuel is sending letters to two major financial institutions, TD Bank and Bank of America, which offer lines of credit to gun makers suggesting that they stop lending money to the manufacturers if they don’t come out for new gun restrictions.

I sense a stereotype playing out here.

They are mobilizing every branch of their collectivist organization. They will move fast to centralize their power before 2016. I am telling you all, you had better get ready for a very bumpy ride here.

Yeah...telling banks to stop doing business with US companies...and large companies with deeeeepppp pockets too. Hopefully unless the banks are major left wing willing to be incredibly financially stupid, they will tell them to go kick rocks.

BAC already has a history of treating the firearms related industry poorly.

Or maybe suddenly some overlooked federal charges dating back to 2008 will suddenly need prosecuting? Just guessing. I'd be really surprised if there wasn't some dirt to be dug up. Rahm is just playing the standard mobster hand.

The mayors, who collectively purchase millions in firearms and ammunition for their police departments, said they’ll begin grading manufacturers on their compliance with public safety goals and reward those they rate the best and limit purchases with those who oppose regulations.
Since Glock provides pistols to, I think, about 2/3 of police departments, does that mean Glock will be coming out with public safety rules soon?

What utter crap!

Don't underestimate the collectivists when they get focused on an issue.

The mayors may be, as usual, overestimating their nearness to being kings. It's 2013 and most large government bodies have procurement codes and processes that decide who they can buy from - not mayors who can say, "we'll take this and not that."

Just business as usual in a totalitarian state. These are the guys who forced the banks to give sub prime mortgages. These guys own the bankers, they give then the stimulus funds and other bribes. This is the way the world ends. Your children will be slaves.
