There is a gun show going on this weekend and they have a nice Glock 23 I am interested in. Serial number CFH 531

The lady said it was a Gen 3, but so far my research is pointing towards a Gen 2 from the 90's.

Anyone able to offer any info as to what generation it is, and when it was made? And if it is a desirable gun?

She is willing to take $450, out the door, for the gun.

This information from the Serial Number Research Project,indicates a Gen 2 or 2.5.
CFC - G-17 - April 1997
CFF - G-22C - April 1997 - 2nd Gen.
CFH - G-23 - April 1997
CFK - G-23C - April 1997 - 2nd Gen. - US Suffix
CFL - G-30 - April 1997 - 2.5 Gen.

1998 - G31, G32, G33, G34, G35 introduced
**** - (comment added - third gen frame starts within 1998)

I just sold a G23 with a CFH serial # a week ago. It's a Gen 2. $450 sounds too high IMO unless it's like new and you really like the Gen 2.
