I have a Gen3 G21 and absolutely love it. The Gen3s fit my hand perfectly. I was going to wait until February to buy it as a birthday present to myself. But back at the end of October I started to read the tea leaves of the election and decided to buy it because I wasn't sure what might happen in an Obama second term. Paid $525 out the door. One of the better decisions I've made lately.

A Dillon press as you'll go broke feeding a .45 with factory loads today (if you can even find any).

No intention to be rude but that was incoherent.
My LGS has that exact M&P in the exact color and configuration My local gun shop has the same M&P in the color, 45acp with thumb safety you pictured. After selling my FS M&P 9 with poor accuracy, I've been thinking of trying the 45acp version since they don't seem to have that issue. FS=full size in the M&P world and the FS 9mm has had more accuracy issue reports than other sizes in 9mm or other calibers If my 9 version was even combat accurate, I would of kept since it's the most comfortable pistol I've ever held. The accuracy on my fullsize 9mm was not good. Two trips back to S&W and a new barrel and it only slightly proved to be half as accurate as any other pistol I've owned. I would of kept it since everything but the accuracy was perfect.....hence why I may try the 45acp version. Got it?

45acp is my favorite caliber......in fact, I sold all but one of my 9mm's (kept the Glock 26) and only carry the 45. My favorite 3 45acp pistols are: Sig P220 Carry, Glock 30sf and HK45C.....

+1. I love HK. I have a USP .45 but that was before the Hk45 came out. You could also look at the FN FNP45.

1911.1911.1911.1911...

Seriously though, if you haven't shot a 1911, give it a go before you decide against it. Nothing shoots like a 1911.

Otherewise...

Striker Fired .45's

Glock 21 (13+1)
M&P 45 (10+1)
XDm 45
Ruger SR45

Double action .45's

FNP 45 (15+1)
HK 45 (10+1)
USP 45
Sig P220

Do yourself a favor. If you go polymer, buy the best.

Go HK or go home.

If a all metal gun is more to your liking, go with a Sig or a high end 1911.

Save all the toy guns on the market for the kiddies that like to play and pretend.

The MP has an odd feeling trigger. It does fit my hand pretty nice. However just ten rounds. The xd 45 fits my hand about as well and holds 3 more rounds. The usp did not fit my hands well, but it was awesomely accurate. Only "failure" i had was 1 failure to go into battery and I just slapped it in and it went bang. If I had the money I would get a usp 45. Right now I am looking to put an xd 45 tactical on layaway if it is still at the store when I get paid later this week.

Try a Glock 38. Shoots great. Plus 45 GAP is one of the few ammos still on the shelf.

Is this first hand and anecdotal?
I would like a gen 4 21 myself...

I have an SAR - K2. It's 14+1 and it's not much bigger than a full size Cz75.

My BIL came over one day with his brand new Sig 1911. He was all exited about it. He put one magazine through it. It jammed once and made a decent group. I gave him my HK USP, he shot a group half the size of his 1911 and (DUH!) it did not jam!

I did not hear one squeal out of him about how superior 1911s are ever since.

My M&P that I carry daily as my duty gun has not ever malfunctioned or needed parts. If you want to upgrade the trigger Apex makes several upgrade kits.

A Ruger P90 or P97 would be a good choice. It would be hard to find one NIB but a good used one will last forever. My P97 is the best shooting gun I have.
