Try roofies, they work well in most cases. Dont use your real name on the date and dont tell where you live or work.

I don't know if you've received an answer to your question, but I had a similar question over the summer when I purchased my G17. I called Glock directly to inquire about how I could tell which generation it was. After being transferred twice, I spoke to a gentleman who asked for the serial number of the gun. He was able to pull up the exact model, generation and production date.
