Sig CP1 Scope...anybody have or seen one

Just bought one on a whim, as I desperately want an ACOG but refuse to mount a $800-$1000 optic on my $650 M&P-15.

At first glance, it's tanky (is that a word) better yet robust/hefty. It doesn't feel chincy albeit does have a made in china sticker on the bottom of the weaver mount.

It's got a crystal clear optic with a BDC for I'm assuming .223 in the 55-62 grain ball park.

I rarely buy anything without doing any research first. But this thing feels and looks great! The reticle was very fine an just crystal clear. I couldn't believe how nice it looked for $124.

My question is does anybody have any experience with it...importantly does it have any issues holding zero like NcStar and other cheap reticles.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

It is made by iTac. I would pass. If you want a cheap chinese knock-off, get either a Vortex or Primary Arms red dot.

In the world of people who are really serious about hitting what they're shooting at (snipers, competitive marksmen, some hunters), it's not uncommon to see the glass on a rifle cost more than the actual rifle.

Inexpensive to reasonably priced maybe --more Primary Arms than Vortex and even PA is leaps ahead of the airsoft quality stuff Sig is pawning off. Vortex is really making several great scopes and plenty quality budget scopes.

Much better buy would be this 3x Acog like AR scope, very very similar to a pricier Burris model

Im digging this gem up because I am shopping for a scope for my new AR build. I know Im going to get flamed but I am looking for something cheap here. I know what brands to avoid (ncstar, barska, etc.) but I am seriously looking at the CP1. Every review I have found on it has been good. I am not an "operator" or anything of the sort so i just want something to help me shoot in the 100 to 300 yard range at the range.

The Sig branded one is not available any more that I can see but I did find an ITAC one. I believe the sig one is the same exact thing.

I find it pretty comical that people point to the PA one as being good. LOOK AT THE PICS- THE ITAC/SIG is THE SAME EXACT THING minus the rails which I dont want anyway! LMAO!

Also, if you compare the sig/itac CP1 to the Burris ar series- ITS ALSO THE SAME just with a different reticule.

SO, I think i will give the CP1 a try. Anyone have one and have any thoughts or reviews on it?
