preliminary results should be on the GSSF web site by wed.
finals will be posted in about 30 days
that gives time for any corrections needed.
the other stuff when they can there were two matches this weekend.
Are you looking for your next match yet?

Thank you.
I am thinking about the match in Park City, KY but I am not sure if I receive my membership by then.

My first match too. I assume you were at Dickson, TN? I went on Saturday and fired in 5 events. I didn’t do too well but had plenty of fun. I’ve volunteered for the Sweet Home Alabama and plan on going to Park City.
My biggest problem is finding Ammo (for practice) and of course 550 rounds for the event on 1 June.

Yes, @Dickson.
You went all out to shoot 5 divisions:D
I had limited time so just did one but kicking myself not taking G21 that I could have done another.
I am thinking about doing 3 or 4 entries if I go to Park City.
Two different calibers.
Good luck on the ammo.

Dry firing is your friend when getting trigger time. Thank you for supporting GSSF and the sport of shooting overall.

Dickson this weekend was my first match. In fact, upon further review, I realized it was my first organized competition of any kind. I've never been on a team, participated in a sport, etc. So at age 50, this was a big deal!
Shot Civilian (17), Sub (26), and MajorSub (36) Saturday. Had a blast. Went home and decided to come back Sunday and shoot Competition (35) and Heavy Metal (20) just because I wanted to do it again and knew I had a wedding June 8 negating Park City!
I really liked the "system" GSSF has developed that allows the match to run so well with an almost totally volunteer staff. Everything was "chunked" so that a volunteer RO didn't need to learn the manual from front to back, they just needed to understand their particular responsibilities.
So, needless to say, I'm hooked and scouring the calendar for more matches!
---
I'm going to have "S L O W D O W N" added to the inside of my shooting glasses for the next match. Though I intellectually knew that there was NO reason to shoot faster than I could get A/B hits on all targets, the timer goes off and your mind goes "fast fast fast!". Very few people have a three second delta between the time it takes to do an A/B and the time it takes to do a D, so I'm interested in seeing how I can improve by integrating that advice into my practice.

So glad you made it out, and we hope to see you next year, too.
I'm a member at Music City Tactical Shooters, and an RO this weekend. What did you think of the setup? Everybody worked very hard to ensure that you'd have a great time. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.

If you're only shooting 2 divisions, it doesn't really take extra time, you can shoot the 2cd immediately after the 1st. In fact... I've often shot three consecutively back-to-back-to-back.
The rules say you can shoot 2, and at the discretion of the R.O. wait for one shooter to shoot your 3rd.... but if you have loaded mags and such, most will let you do it right away. There's no speed improvement by taking you offline for someone else, then for you to come back.
But yeah, I only shot 1 division my first time out, was kicking myself for not doing another. Shot 2 for a long time, then added Major Sub. It's a blast.

Thanks.
It was good to see everyone volunteering running things smoothly.
It was not muddy on Sunday.
I've met a few of the MCTS before, and they are all nice.
I want to thank everyone there.
Also thanks to DJ & King told me about the match, and Michael welcoming me.

Nice setup. Great pace and tone. Multiple bays per stage was nice. Not much to improve, except possibly putting the practice bay at the front of the course so that folks don't miss it, or promoting it with signage.
Every RO was competent, helpful, and friendly. I saw a few folks who might have been shooting their first box of ammo, and the RO's were awesome with them. That's not a putdown, everyone needs to shoot their first box of ammo, and it's great to see it happening with an RO who tailors the advice to the experience level.
Not much I'd change, even the Red Bull was properly chilled! I was coming from Lebanon, TN, and came both days.
I think you could have made a fortune if you'd sold $1 waters, $2 cokes, $6 burgers but that's another deal!
