Got my LC9 back from Ruger

And it is running flawless. Tech told me he put 50 rounds of Black Hills through it fine he then replaced the extractor at my request. He then put 50 flawless rounds of Blazer brass through it (I had issues with that ammo before). Just got it back yesterday, this morning it ran 50 Blazer brass and 50 Freedom Munitions with no failures to extract. I am happy, I really liked this gun and like it even more now. Break in? extractor? Glad it is running.

Just sent mine out to Galloway precision for a new trigger bar and RTK trigger as well as a stainless steel guiderod. Should be an entirely new weapon when it returns.

How is the recoil from this pistol? My wife likes these but we can't find one to shoot locally. She has no problems with the recoil of the Glock 17 but finds the Glock 27 too unpleasant.

Recoil was more than I thought it was going to be! My wife did not like the LC9. She felt like the grip was too small " feel like it is going to fly out of my hand". Don't know if that helps but I like it for a summer carry.

The recoil of the LC9 is stout. It is a lightweight, small 9mm. It would be nice if she could try one but that is sometimes a challenge. A G17 is very mild compared to an LC9. That being said, for such a small gun the LC9 is quite manageable.
