Gen 3 Gen 4
Hope to pic up my g26 gen3 in about 2weeks. Starting to have buyers remorse. Could of chosen a gen 4 for 40 bucks more. 3 mags instead of 2 and ability to eject mags on left. Liked the feel and trigger of the gen3 better. In any event I know I'm getting a great piece. Buy the way I have my g17 for 21 years.
Your 2 cents appreciated.

If your happy With the feel of the Gen 3, then you made the right choice. There are things on my Gen 3 19 I really like. Then there's things about the Gen 4 I like. Ron

You can always change out the trigger bar with one from a Gen3 if that's what you like better. Either way a G26 is a G26.....Good luck with it.

Where did you buy it? Depending on the dealer he/she may be open to changing your gen3 choice to a gen4. As long as the 4473 hasn't been filled out and called in you can back out. Even if that has happened as long as you haven't taken possession you can still back out. As long as you want another gun the dealer shouldn't be put out.

Imo the only reason to own a gen 4 is if you need to have a smaller grip (no back strap) or you need a bigger grip (the largest back strap). So if the gen 3 feels good then you made the correct choice, again imo.

I really like the Gen 3's but I am going to get a Gen 4 sometime in the future.I have shot both and I like the feel of the Gen 3 grip better than the Gen 4. I just wish they would come out with a G26 with out finger groves.

I like the grip texture and definitely like the stock mag catch better on Gen4s. No extended mag catch necessary for me. I am slowly replacing my Gen3s with Gen4s - the only things is... I am also keeping my Gen3s. I hate to sell guns.

Come again? Carry permit? They have to know what guns you carry or what, where you at?

Not during these crazy days but during the last year my LGS have sold three times more Gen3 than Gen4.

G19
I resided in the Empire State whar the officials have no idea of what good gun control is. My collection includes 22, 380, 9, 357sig, 40 and 45.
They do not have to know what you carry.
Frustrated due to new 7rd limit and other manuta.
Good gun control = hitting your target on the first shot.
