What's your solution for safe storage but quick access?

I have a few shotguns that I plan to put around the house. I'd like a safe option since there are kids who come over. What's your solution for safe storage but quick access?

I wish there were a chamber lock that allowed a keyless option.

Is it safe to keep it behind furniture? Probably not. Just thinking out loud (or typing it at least).

They're not cheap, but you could always get a biometric gun case. I've only seen them in pistol cases though, not sure if they make them for long guns.

You could try a ShotLock.

Biometric is not reliable enough for me to trust it. At least, there should be a backup mechanism. During the day, I carry where I legally can while my home protection gun is in the safe. At bedtime, the smaller lockboxes come out of the safe and one contains my home defense gun while the other gets my carry gun.

I am very careful since I have six young kids at home.

I do not use long guns for defense, but if I did, I would get a secure bedroom locking container. When away, I would only trust my big and heavy safe for storage.

I have a daily routine that only allows guns on my person or locked up. I never have them just placed somewhere.

I thought this solution was pretty interesting.

There is a group buy on Snipers Hide for tactical walls. It's a sneaky/hide in plain sight way to stash a shotgun and more. I really like the idea and if I had any use for it would probably check it out myself.

shotlock solo drawer safe with combo lock. i can unlock in the dark if needed.

for the one located at my bed side drawer i normally lock it when i'm not home or if i have kids around. At night i unlock it with the night stand drawer slightly open for quicker access.

My solution for safe, but quick-access, storage is simple...

In the safe during the day, against the nightstand at night.
