Sig Mosquito Breaks!

I wasn't sure exactly where to share this, but this forum seemed appropriate enough...

I was out with a CCW class today, assisting a friend of mine who instructs the class. We are performing the target shooting portion when THIS happens...

Rimfire Forum

This happened WHEN A STUDENT WAS FIRING! To say we were all shocked is an understatement.

NO ONE was hurt, but it sure scared the heck out of the lady firing it.

Same thing happened to a friend's Mosquito. He'd had it awhile and had to buy a new slide.

Really? Yeah.

Did you have a back up gun to let them Finnish the class,

I have a sig from about 4 or 5 years ago that my son learned how to shoot with he used to go thru a box of 550 22's every range visit. I feel its held up great. I wonder if they are using a different material now

Yes - thankfully. We had one of the RSO's Chiappa 1911.

He's going to send it to Sig. Maybe they can shed some light. In the meantime, I'm thinking of adding a Ruger 22-45. I've wanted one for awhile anyway.
