I really like my CZ-52 (the most accurate semi-auto I own), but I seriously wouldn't trust the safety like I would a 1911.

Cocked and locked is for carry purposes and I really prefer striker pistols like Glocks because they are MUCH safer to carry ready to fire. My G26 has never gone off when I wasn't pressing the trigger and has never failed to go off when I did press the trigger. Modern guns are preferred for duty use for several reasons, an important one being that they are safer to carry with a round chambered.

Nice gun, but there's cocked but no locked there.

Those are beautiful grips. Who made them?

Thank you, I'll attach a better pic. My gun originally came with the black plastic ones which I didn't like. The grips it is wearing now are actually made by Ruger. You can find them here:

http://shopruger.com/Mark-III-Cocobo...uctinfo/90257/

The flash gives them kind of a yellowish hue in this pic, but the color is close to that in the first pic.
