My 9mm guns are VERY Happy!
I found an out of way Walmart, that had 560...Yes, 560 boxes of PPU 9mm ammo at $15/box. More than they could fit in their cabinet. Of course I couldnt buy more than 3 due to new WM restrictions. At least I was smart and brought the wife so we could get 6. Even in the good times, 560boxes is alot!

Sad when we get excited for $15 a box 9mm, eh? My LGS is selling 9mm for $21. And the range is always packed. Makes me wonder where everyone is getting all this ammo or the money to pay for it. And if things stay the way they are if eventually people will cut back on their range visits, cause they sure don't seem to be yet.

I thought you were going to say you spent some quality time at your loading bench.
I did the other night and cranked out 500 rds. of 9 mm in about a hour and a half's time. SJ 40

In 2009 when it was also bad they at least allowed 6, now down to 3 ouch. I remember a story in 09 I heard at the range, do not know if it was true but...........
There was a guy that would go to Walmart at 6am when the night shift Walmart employee was getting off, then come back at 2 pm before employee the morning guy got off and then at 9pm before that employee went off so that he could buy 18 boxes in one day. And since 3 different employees sold it to him, none of them knew he was doing this. Now I dont know if he had a job or if he lived across the street from Walmart but it was a brilliant move. If I lived close to a Walmart maybe I should

I don't have time to go to Walmart over and over again just to MAYBE score some ammo at the same price or higher than what I can get it for online (when I can get it online, of course!)

with about 2500 rounds of 9mm, and about 1500 rounds of .45 stockpiled, I am a rookie compared to most of you guys.

3-box limit? I've gone into walmart and bought 10-12 100-round boxes before with no questions asked.

So you must understand how happy I am that I happened to be at the right Wal-Mart more than a week ago when the 100-round Federal ValuPak ammo was being put onto the shelves. I picked up two because finances prevented me from buying three.

Due to the current ammo panic Wal-Mart is determined to upset as few customers as possible. You'd understand if you were standing in line to buy ammo and the person in front of you bought the entire supply. I saw it happen four years ago.

Yes, you've said that in about 20 other threads already.
I'm getting tired of seeing almost every thread in this forum bumped every day because you make some inane reply to them. Are you just padding your posting count?

No. I am retired and living alone. I need the conversation.

The sad thing with being happy to see ammo at $15 for a budget box of 50 9mm is that the price probably will not come back down much, if at all...
It sure didn't come back down much after the last rush from the first election.

Here in Indianapolis Indiana they (Walmart) also limit you to (3) three boxes, but the three must be different, you cannot buy three of the same type.

Sure it did. I bought my first handgun in Jan 2009 and I've been able to build up 10,000 rounds per caliber at $200/1000 for 9mm; $250/1000 for .40 and $300/1000 for .45. These prices were common as recently as six months ago. If you're patient, these prices will return.

I live about 10 minutes from a Walmart and attempt to stop there every day in hopes of getting a few boxes of .38/.357, 9mm, or .22lr. So far I only managed to score 3 boxes of 50ct Federal 9mm. I managed to snag about 420 rounds of 7.62x39 before the 3 box limit.
