Theres somebody in my area that is selling 3 Promag Hi-point mags on a classifieds website. 14rdrs(45ACP).
She wants $125ea or 2 for $2xx or all 3 for $300.

Promag has them In Stock for $32.xx!

That sir, is price gouging.
No, it's not.

She can ask any price she wants. No one is being forced to buy it.

Again, how can there be price gouging if the buyer willingly pays the sellers price?

Good point here.

If the City Council, County Commission, whomever regulates it, only gives one license to one facility to operate a range and it is therefore the only place in your County to legally shoot, and that range requires you to buy ammo at their price, it's gouging.

Nothings gouging, if it is I want $300 gold.If I needed to, I could go out and trade a glock 17 mag for a M&P9 mag straight across. Its like the silver price threads that explain that It still buys the same amount of gas in today's market, the dollar is just less valuable. Only its value stays the same in the firearm market. If everything was normal and you wanted to sell your bushmaster AR and buy A century FAL you would get and spend within $100 of each other. Still the same today only you sell your AR for 2K instead of $700.

Im just glad prices normalized after the first obama scare, this one has me sitting back watching all the madness in comfort.

You get prepared for what you "need" beforehand, not wait until it's here. I can see why many might be ticked off that people are charging what they are for certain items, but they're not holding a gun to your head forcing you to buy it either. I got what I wanted ahead of time, and if I feel someone is charging too much I won't buy it, simple as that.

Don't blame the dealers for the prices. Place the blame on the people that pay the ridiculous prices. That allows the sellers to gouge.

The OP is long gone from this 4m.

Since buyers and sellers agreeing on the price is immoral, we'll let an entity (we'll call Komrade Karl) determine the "fair" price.

Adding to what many others have said...
It is really bizzare that some actually believe there is something inherently evil about selling an item for whatever the market will bear..

My goodness, if I wanted to sell a Pmag for $10,000 and a willing buyer came along, that would be between the buyer and myself.
Doesn't matter in the least whether I am a private seller or in business.

"Gouging"? "Greedy"? How silly...

It is amazing how well the words to that song fit this thread. To paraphrase just slightly.

Mama, just gouged a man.
Put my mag against his head,
He pulled the trigger on the bid,
...

Too funny. Actually paraphrasing is not necessary. I wish the one poster hadn't included the link to the video, cause it just keeps getting better and better as you work your way through the song.

No escape from reality
Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see
I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy
Because I'm easy come, easy go
A little high, little low
Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me, to me

Mama, just killed a man
Put a gun against his head
Pulled my trigger, now he's dead
Mama, life had just begun
But now I've gone and thrown it all away
Mama, ooo
Didn't mean to make you cry
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters

Too late, my time has come
Sends shivers down my spine
Body's aching all the time
Goodbye everybody - I've got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
Mama, ooo - (anyway the wind blows)
I don't want to die
I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all

I see a little silhouetto of a man
Scaramouch, scaramouch will you do the fandango
Thunderbolt and lightning - very very frightening me
[ From: http://www.elyrics.net ]
Gallileo, Gallileo,
Gallileo, Gallileo,
Gallileo Figaro - magnifico

But I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me
He's just a poor boy from a poor family
Spare him his life from this monstrosity
Easy come easy go - will you let me go
Bismillah! No - we will not let you go - let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go - let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go - let me go
Will not let you go - let me go (never)
Never let you go - let me go
Never let me go - ooo
No, no, no, no, no, no, no -
Oh mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me
for me
for me

So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye
So you think you can love me and leave me to die
Oh baby - can't do this to me baby
Just gotta get out - just gotta get right outta here

Ooh yeah, ooh yeah
Nothing really matters
Anyone can see
Nothing really matters - nothing really matters to me

Anyway the wind blows...
