My FFL got my HK45C w/FDE frame in on Wednesday. I finally got to pick it up today. Now to go put a few hundred rounds through it...

Outside at 7pm just before dusk. No flash. Not in direct sun.

Decided not to shoot it. Just can't like the color. Will either safe queen it or get rid of it and try to get an all black 45CT.

It won't matter. This stuff is like a chameleon; it changes under different sorts of light. There is a picture-specific thread on HKPro with lots of different shots... and they all look different. But they will give you an idea of what it looks like.

Personally, I think its hideous. But I bought it to use, not to look at. It was a real killer deal; I wish now I had bought two, ugly color and all. The third magazine and tritium sights add a couple of hundred dollars to its value; and we bought them for considerably less than retail.

I put 400+ rounds through mine over the week-end, and when I finish cleaning it will become my EDC, replacing a "regular" black one.

Here's a few of my P30. I like it but it's up for sale right now.
