Quick question

Do You Guys know if all the factory Remington 870 barrels were marked with "Remington Arms..." markings on the right side of the barrel?
I'm talking Police model actually...possibly few years old.
One more thing.
Remington LE website says that the 14" version is actually 14" long, but I have a seller telling me that his barrel is 13.5" long (bead sight up front).
He's not sure what kind of barrel he actaully has.
Is it possible that these barrels are 13.5" long actually?
Any clue about that?
Here in Canada it's perfectly legal to own short berreled shotgun, so don't worry - I won't be charged with anything.
Thanks!

I have a 870 barrel that was purchased used as a police trade in. The date on the left side is 1969 (never saw that before on a barrel), and MOD (choke, I guess) and the right side has "Remington arms co. Ilion, NY.
This is an 18 1/2 inch barrel.
Sorry, can't help with any info on the 13 inch barrel.

Hope this helps

Thanks.
I think that all the factory barrels from Remington were marked as such.
Must be a Chinese clone.

ATF requires them to put their name and location on each barrel. So if it is not there then it is not a Remington factory barrel.

Thank You. Much appreciated.
I decided to order, the locally made, 14" Dlask barrel instead.
