The Beavertails are coming!!
I have been told by a reliable source that soon all Glock Gen4s will be shipped with a beavertail grip piece.
You will be able to order the beavertails separately for existing Gen4s.

You can't use it in SSP or Production.
But, once it is standard equipment from the pistol's manufacturer, you will.

I assumed they already did...the G19 I purchased several weeks ago had it included. And, I've seen posts that others had them as well.

The beavertail back straps are shipping with new standard (including the GLOCK 20 and 21) and compact models in Gen4. I haven't heard any news about whether they are shipping with subcompacts (though I would like to find out); I would think that they would be particularly useful for some people with the GLOCK 29 and 30 since they are around the size of the compact GLOCKs. From what I have heard here and later confirmed by calling GLOCK, with new GLOCKs you get a medium back strap, large back strap, medium beavertail back strap, and large beavertail back strap.
The beavertail kits have already started to show up on the GLOCK Armorer's parts list as parts 30818 (for the standard-standard size GLOCKs; 17, 22, 31, 34, 35, and 37) and 30819 (for the large-standard frame GLOCKs; 20, 21).

Take some 1000 grit sand paper and sand the inside and
outside edges.
I worked the inside edges and it fits really nice.
I like how it changes the grip angle

I don't think so. I have been looking for one since I saw them for a first time 2 years back.
I will greatly appreciate if you can post a link to a site that sell Glock factory beavertails for gen4, TIA.

Me neither. I think the point is, why does anyone need to add a beavertail to a Glock. This is the first that I've ever seen about that problem. The wounded hand looks like it just came off a 1911, without a beavertail.

Fat people. Very, very fat people. With very, very fat hands.
I know, because I was very, very fat. Now I'm just fat. Okay, very fat... but I no longer have fat deposits on my hands that interfere with the function of my pistols.
I got slide bite when I was over 300 pounds. I lost 50 pounds, no more problems.
I would imagine the vast majority of people who want Glock beavertails are morbidly obese.

I have no need for a beavertail on a Glock. I've only been bitten by a older Walther PPK or a GI style 1911.

I just got my Gen 4 FDE G21. I got the four backstraps including the beavertails. I tried one of the beavertails and it feels great. I'm probably biased because the 1911 is my favorite pistol. I enjoy getting a good high grip on my pistol. I feel the beavertail on the Glock gives me a sense of better control. The gun feels more secure to me. I kept comparing it side by side with my other G21's. The beavertail is now permanent. I have to also what a badass gun that FDE G21 is.
