I have revolvers now so I reload to the load specs reloading manuals have and for sd's it serves me well. I got rid of my semi-auto pistols and just love the old school revolvers for edc.

Picked up some S&B for $13 a box today.

Thanks for the Tip-off!

It looks like some of the 44 magnum and 45 ball rounds are still available today. A month ago, that would never have happened. I kinda figured the 12.99 9mm would fly.

I went into Dicks Sporting Goods today and they had over 50 boxes of 223 and 18 boxes of 5.56, all at the old prices.

Yesterday the Walmart had lots of .22, 380, .40 and 45.

Things are starting to come back around here.

I have noticed that CL houston has many fewer ammo postings. maybe they have run out of buyers at the panic prices. this bodes well, for supplies to come back to Academy, WM, lgs, etc.

At least thats how I see it.

I actually managed to get 3 boxes of 45 at walmart yesterday but had to wait in line. The boxes never hit the shelf they went from the stock room into shopping bags. Not one box got to the shelf.

This depends on what prices you are looking at.

If you look at Walmart's usually empty shelves, yes.

If you look at what's actually available, right now, online, probably prices are going to go down from where they are right now.

For the first time since December I scored three 100 count boxes of Winchester White Box 9mm ammo from the Wal-Mart down the street. They also had maybe a half dozen of the 500+ .22 Remington boxes on the shelf. A few days ago on a business trip to a rural Nebraska town I also stopped in at one of their Wal-Marts and got three fifty round boxes of 9.

My local Wally World now is pretty much always in stock with most major calibers and the local large LGSs I've mentioned earlier are stocked fully but still running restrictions on how much you can buy. The clerk at wally's was shocked when I bought only one box of 9, I told him we'll get through this thing faster if people stop freaking out. In service to that, I'm bowing out of discussions about availability until there is another severe pinch in supply, at this point more handwringing is only prolonging the pain rather than helping a cure.

Posted from my car phone.

Starting to see quite a few boxes of WWB .45 around. Bass Pro in Shreveport had five or six boxes on the shelves last week, and my LGS had five or six when I went in today looking for .40. Almost made me want to buy a .45 on the spot.

Yes you do.

Not the best design out there.

But if its what you like, then I'm sure you are happy.

Dude there is no shortage of defensive 9mm ammo HST Gold dots etc.. are readily available at half of what you paid, sgammo & ammotogo just had hst's for $32 box the shotage is crap range ammo, people need to stop shooting for a few months and refuse to pay ridiculous prices and then the prices will come down. everyone just worry about yourself stop buying ammo until August and youll see the prices tank

I haven't purchased ammo since December, but was in Academy last night and made a purchase. I bought their limit in .22LR. It was a single box of American Eagle, containing 40 rounds. A 3 box limit would have been nice.

I haven't been in any of the big sporting goods stores in the past few weeks. I just hit the local wally world because it is literally the only place in our county to buy ammunition. Tonight, they had Tulammo 223 and Federal 45. I don't want anymore steel cases, and all of my 45 brass has LPP's. It seems every walmart I walk into always has hydrashok(sp?) in mass.

Of course they had 22LR in 325 boxes tonight, but I'm assuming all that was mugged by the usual suspects. I still don't see my local walmart stocking any federal 100 count 223. That is what I would like to stumble on, but all I see are 20 round packs when I do see brass cased 223. I'm guess I'm just starting to get picky.

Been a while since I've seen this stuff in stock at Midway:

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/856...ket-box-of-100
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/716...ose-box-of-100

In stock as of 21:53 CST. Not sure how long that will last, but with the limit of 1 and the high shipping, I think this is left for the folks to really add on to other stuff they want from Midway.

You could always some 223 ammo to it if you needed to just fill the order. They have some a little high, but closer to average price, and it is available.
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/436...cket-box-of-20

Decent price for JHP 223:
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/686...oint-box-of-20

Or just buy a pile of 5.56:
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/675...180-packs-of-5

They also have 30 round pmag ar mags in stock, too:

Is that "gouging" or high demand? I mean, why aren't Ferraris like 25 grand?
