Whitakers, not 2nd amendment. Good luck. I was there Friday afternoon (was close by because of work) and Whitakers had 2 Colt LW commanders, went back Saturday to buy, both were gone. Ended up with a Ruger Commander.

Nice find on the ruger!! I went by whittakers last week, and it was packed. I'm not sure if people were buying or just looking around. I left shortly after getting in. Too packed for me!! I was kidding about going out and getting one though. I'm not sure where kygunworks is? Lexington maybe?

2nd amendment charges an arm and a leg. Did you see the colt 6920 they had for 2400? That place charges MSRP, then let you talk them down 30 dollars. I really don't see how there still open. I'd love to see what they'd charge for one of these colt MARSOC.

Last thing I'd read from colt is they'd be about 2k. Just wait for the hysteria on the first ones to pass

This particular Colt? You're mistaken.

Coming from a Jarhead, I'd expect a $1,500 gun plus a $500 tacticool tax. I still wouldn't pay that. For nearly $2,900 OTD, I'd be looking at Baer, Brown, or Wilson instead.

I think it costs that much over the Rail Gun because it has night sights.

You wouldn't, but there are plenty of military wannabes out there who will buy just because it's a Recon Marine gun. Rather like the Mk23 because it was a Navy SEAL gun.

I kind of like it for some strange reason, but not at that kind of money. No way. I might pay $1500 for it.

I always thought the Colt Gunsite's were over-priced.

Not surprising the new Colt Marine pistol is going to be pricey for the commercial market, though.

I'd also rather have a SCG ... for less money.

You can buy a Colt Rail Gun, night sights, some VZ grips, a MSH w/lanyard loop, solid trigger and have it Cerakoted for way cheaper than that. Don't know if the internals are upgraded, but nothing about that 1911 screams "worth the price" to me.

It's supposed to be hand fitted in the Colt Custom Shop, whatever that means.

Probably means that it will take a few extra shots for the slide to loosen up/wear off the Cerakote on the rails.

Sometimes I think hand fit means "machined oversize and assembled/hand fit with a rubber mallet".

If it were to be made in a proper caliber (i.e. Super .38 Auto), I would have bought it at full MSRP.

don't i seem to recall this gun was going to use easily replaceable parts instead of being custom shop fitted guns?
