Got my confirmation yesterday that I'll be attending Lt.Col. Grossman's "Bulletproof Mind" class next month! I'm pumped to see him! Last time he was in be area I was working and couldn't get off.

Apparently you haven't been here long enough to notice that we don't boot people out of this country for being here illegally... Oh wait, you're European, never mind.

It's snowing...for real. Not just sleet or hail. Snowflakes...and they're sticking.

SE Michigan...

I froze my a** off last night at an accident scene...

Tomorrow we officially "switch" to short sleeve shirts...

(hey, this kinda looks like Haiku!).

I think its much cheaper when you open your own business, but then you dont get a green card, its connected to the business iirc.

Dont you think you could find me a business to support my visa and after some years I could just apply for a green card?

Depends on your degree. Might be able to find something by next year. Start saving up.

I do, but studying will be finished in 2015 (I hope so). Have to look up what the equivalent to my school degree is in the USA.

Btw stupid jetlag. Stayed up till 1am, slept till 4 and woke up all not tired anymore. Now hours later I have to get to work and I bet I will be tired as hell.

Bachelor in electrical engineering might be good to go. It's always easy to find jobs for engineers.

Well, that route has a lot more promise and possibility than coming here as a cop... just depends on how you want to get here.

Annnnd now I'm on sick leave until the captain and safety committee meet and decide my limitations for light duty. Achilles Tendonitis, and the doc wants me not on my feet on concrete or doing stairs and such for a month, and in soft shoes (no boots).

but I guess business administration studies plus an electronical (lower) degree is still a good combination.

... also I would probably never be happy again if I wouldnt work as a cop somewhere.. unless I am rich

Boston was such a coward attack. The more stories and videos are released the more horrible it gets.

I am about sick and tired of dealing with this crap with work already. Apparently, my doctor wasn't specific enough in the note for work, and of course he's off today so I can't get it fixed today. In the meantime, I'm burning the minimal amount of leave time I have left because work won't let me come back on even limited duty without specific details on my limitations, down to how many stairs is acceptable for me to climb. Flippin' ridiculous.

Common sense is long gone brother!

In other news, I'm thinking about dropping the coin for a 6360 for my G22/ X300 combo. The department is switching us to level III holsters and they agreed to order light bearing holsters for those of us willing to buy our own lights. Fast forward 6 month and all I've got is a $200 light doing nightstand duty... The holsters still haven't been ordered and the last ETA I heard was for September. Meanwhile I'm rotating back to nights next month and would certainly love to be able to use my light on what's shaping up to be a long hot summer.

Damn admin!

I did mine backwards. I ordered the 6360 first and then a few months later bought a TRL1 light. The only thing my department has issued me was a badge, ID card, a button up shirt and a polo. Everything else I had to get. Including ammo.
