Tempted on g30

I have a g23 and a g21. I really like the feel of the .45 caliber. I also like the grip of the regular g21. The g23 is awesome though and I would like to carry it.

I see a g30 gen 3 regular frame for $450 and am tempted. I do have a few bucks I could spend on the g30 and see if I like it better than the g23 and then sell what I don't like or just keep both guns. I did just buy the g21 so my girl would roll her eyes if I come home with another gun.

What do you guys think?

I don't have one but have rented one at the range & the G30 is a sweet shooting gun. I am thinking of getting one, if I can't find a G29 & find a G30 or after my G29.

I'd say go for it as well. I love my gen 4 g30, just wish I had more ammo to shoot through it...

I'd give it a try. You won't have any trouble selling it if you decide you don't like it. I have a Gen 3 G30 and love it.

I don't know you, but I can almost promise that you would fall in love with a G30. To me it is the perfect .45 for CC. Yes it's a little chunky, but hey, it holds 11 rounds too.

I've owned G30's since they were introduced, Gen 2.5, now have a Gen3 G30SF and it is a dream to carry and shoot.

GO FOR IT..............

excellent post and sums it up for me...it is short, it is chunky but the 11 .45ACP on board is mighty comforting...kind of a G21 snubby...

...bought my Gen4 G30 on February 7, 2013 and it has been on my hip every day since but one...went back and tried my G23 wannabe G32...I might not be carrying that pistol again...weight is similar...G30 is a touch thicker but not so much it matters to me...and the G30 carries my favorite cartridge...

The add for the g30 says SPF which I think means someone beat me to it. I'll keep you posted. The positive feedback makes me want to grab the thing even more. It's the convincing my girlfriend I need a 3rd pistol that is the real sale here too. And yes the g21 is regular frame and so is this g30. I hope this guys sale falls through as I don't see many g30s for sale and also for $450.

Wait until you try to convince her you need that 11th or 12th. I've given up on the "convincing" a long time ago. They just show up now lol

The g30 will be extremely comfortable to shoot but you will have a much thicker in width gun (slide) and less capacity than the g23.
That is what the debate comes down to.

the my G30sf width didn't seem that much thicker than my G23. they both feel the same to carry. although I really like the 30 I would never sell my 23.

I have a G30 Gen 3 and G23 Gen 4. The G23 is easier to carry but I love both guns. The G30 was my first Glock. Loved it so much made me get the G23.

I own a Gen 4 G30 and love it. I started out looking for a 30s but then I held the G4 G30 and new it was right for me. 2 months later and 500 down the pipe, and no regrets. I too will now wait for the Gen4 G30s , but, I don't know if I will need it.

I would buy it! It can only increase in value.
I have a few Glocks, I still go to the G23 for everyday use.
I don't have a G30, I have the G29, sometimes I carry carry it just because...
