Mark 23 or usp tactical

Continuing from a post yesterday...

Lgs has a:
1) nib usp tactical for 1100
2) 1990 vintage m23 in good shape with cockade for 1650. Gun in nicely blued.
3) newer vintage m23 in great shape, hard to its been fired for $1749. It has more of matte blue as compared to the other m23.

What do you guys think? I know the camp case is rare, but not sure i care.

It's hard to decide which without looking at both, but it would definitely be one of the Mark 23s.

The USP Tactical is just another polymer pistol, as far as I'm concerned.

I agree with Bac. One of the Mark 23's. I have one and love it.

Although I am in the market for a Tac 45. That's a pretty good price considering what they "used" to go for in my area when I could find one.

I figured that was what it was supposed to be. If its in nice shape, I'd probably go with the older one with the glossy finish. I don't believe it's blued though.

I'm not so much into resale value or collect-ability.
For me it's more a matter of what I'm going to be doing with the gun.
And what type of trigger group I favor.

My EDC is a HK45 Compact Tactical Light LEM.
I think I could carry a USP Tactical.
But a Mark 23? Maybe not.
Plus the USP can be converted to LEM.
Where I don't believe that's an option with the Mark 23.

So,
If it's just a range gun and you favor DA/SA? Mark 23.
If you want a carry gun and favor LEM? USP Tactical.

Thinking about it more on the drive home, and I really need a Mark 23. So one of those two they have.

I have a Mark 23, USP 45 and HK 45C.

The Mark 23 is an excellent shooter but it is large. It does handle recoil well, and it's quite accurate.
