How many Masters use the G30

In Heavy Metal? And Major Sub for that matter? Just curious.

I'd wager the G30 is the most popular gun in MajorSub and will remain so unless the G30S displaces it.

From watching other shooters while I run them I'd say it's a toss up between the G36 and G30 in MSub. I can think of only 2 shooters that used a G29 and I'm one of them. I started out shooting the G30 in Sub and MSub then went to the G27 in Sub and now back to the G30 in Sub and MSub. At first I used the G30 on HM too mostly because my G21 was 800 miles away. Now I use the 21 in HM and 30 in Sub and MSub. I've run a G36 slide on my G30 for 3 years or so now. About 5 years ago I bought a G30SF and was going to sell my G30 but the SF wouldn't run on my match ammo so I sold it and kept the 30.

I haven't shot a match since they brought heavy metal on as its own category, but when I do, I will be using a 30sf for both HM and SM.

You shot Mobile last year for sure and a few other matches in 2012 I think. I guess sitting around watching everyone work in Mobile was stressful enough you blotted out HM? Did you mean you haven't shot HM yet or.....

Your getting senile! I call dibs on your guns and ammo!!!! And your lawn and car service.....

G 30

The G 30 is my favorite GSSF match gun, made Master last year with it, winning 3 consecutive MajorSub matches. Only thing I have done is add Warren Tactical sights.

I shoot my G-30SF in Subcompact, and Major Sub. I also have used it in Heavy Metal but usually shoot my GEN 4 G-37 in HM.
