With donuts, you can't just have one.

If they're toasted coconuts, maybe even two is not enough.

Thanks guys for the congrats.

I was always partial to apricot twists on Saturday mornings myself.

Donuts are not a problem with Lawman. He's got a 28 waist. And he'll tell you so.

And I have no freaking idea what a churros is! (Never mind. Just googled the word. Never had them but seen them).

I'll have to try that after you put the idea in my head... thanks... my waist line will be very mad at you.

Yep, if someone buys them and brings them to the office, I won't turn it down, unless there's no jelly or maple bar or sugar sprinkles. Those are the only 3 types I eat.

Good lord, man! Take the hanger out of your shirt before you put it on.

I passed along my congrats in your other thread, but I'll do so again. It's going to be worth it to be able to surf along on the real world again, enjoying a nicely boring life with family & friends.

Donuts?

I stopped liking donuts rather early in my LE career.

However ...

I recently discovered that Top Pot (Hand-Forged Donuts) makes something called a Sand Castle donut. We were visiting our newest grand daughter, and Top Pot is one of our favorite coffee shops in the PNW.

It's a light & moist, richly flavored cocoa cake donut, dusted with cinnamon sugar. Not greasy. Easy and light on the palate. Sort of evaporates on the plate before you're done.

I rediscovered donuts all over again.

Their coffee's not too bad, either.

Hey I said I was sick and not myself, but I don't want to have to stand in front of the Chief or Sheriff and explain why I took something free while in uniform, But I still like Apple Fritters, just not donuts.

I take (and make) donut jokes with the best of them. You should never get mad when someone jokes you, you should get even

lol, sounds yummy. It is great that my quitting thread is evolving into donuts. I too quit going to the donut shop a long time ago. One determining factor was that my current jurisdiction didn't have a "donut shop" per se. There were some places that stocked KK's but not a full fledged store.

Back in the day it was Daylight Donuts, and the apricot twist that was a Saturday special was my favorite.

I was gonna say, remove hanger from pants before putting on said pants. It helps with the stiff object up rear end sensation which may cause irritable personality syndrome.

Go for it!! I left LE after 23 years with a good pension (had to go to protect it and medical bennies) and I'm in school going for a new career in a very selective medical program. I'm being challenged and love it. Straight A's so far.

I left with a bunch of people and everyone is happier, healthier, and employed.

Congratulations, Bullman! Thank you for your service! Enjoy your new-found freedom!

I will reach a figure, in a few days, at the end of June, that reaches a comfort zone with my DROP package, which checks another box on the "go ahead and retire" side of the equation, but I like the idea of reaching 30 years of service, so plan to wait until the end of 2013, and see how things are going at that time.
