22" Brown Trout

Caught this beauty in the Watauga River today on a Mepps Aglia. My line was spinning around the spool and I was about to have a heart attack when I finally saw it. Thank God for braided line or I'd never have gotten it on the bank. I have it in the freezer now to be mounted.

This isn't the Corral. LOL And yeah, mee too.

Nice fish! I've been dreaming of fishing almost nightly for about a month. I'm SO ready. More so than last year. Which is good b/c I don't think I got out enough last year.

I got this guy on my 4 wt. Fly rod in northern AZ. 27" rainbow. I bet that brown put up one neck of a fight! They usually fight a lot better than the 'bows.
