My Arkansas big buck pics.
Just wanted to share the pic of my 11 point buck with everybody. I shot it in SW Arkansas on 11/11/03. I was hunting a game trail that went through a small opening in a pine/hardwood forest using my climbing stand. Just before dark, the buck came down the trail and I got a clear shot on him from approx. 25 yds. One shot from my Browning 7mm-08 A-bolt did the trick. Its the best buck I have shot to date. Anybody else hunting around SW Arkansas?

hcook,
I was hunting on the Gum Flats wildlife management area. Its between Ashdown and Alleene. I shot a good mature, large bodied doe in that same area on 11/09/03. I saw quite a few deer everyday. Most were does and young bucks that were not legal to take. Its been a good season so far. All the deer seem to be real healthy due to the fact that there was plenty of rain and thus good crops in that part of the state this year. Are you from SW Arkansas and/or do you hunt there? tx50

I've never hunted that area, but I know the area pretty well because I've got relatives in SW AR. My Dad was born and grew up about 50 miles north of the area you were hunting in.
