...for a new pickled egg recipe. My old stand-by needs a break. I would appreciate any input.

pickled eggs

try this
Food process a jar of hot cherry peppers mix with vinegar cover peeled hard boiled eggs in a glass jar. If you don't have enough to cover add a little water.

Let stand in the fridge for about a week.

They come out yellow with a bite interestingly different.
