HELP! Alternative to cocktail sauce for shrimp...
In all the haste we forgot the cocktail sauce for the shrimp. I need alternatives quick! Anyone have any ideas for something to dip shrimp in?
Thanks!

If you have ketchup, horseradish and worsteschire sauce, you can make your own.

My God! How far are you from the supermarket!?
I forget stuff all the time, and I just say;
"uh, I gotta go back!"...
But then again, the supermarket is like Disney to me!

A1 or some other type of steak sauce is actually pretty tasty on shrimp. Butter is always tasty as well.

Glen

Seriously,
If the shrimp is of decent quality, then just some salt and pepper.

I was served prawns with ketchup and lime juice at Los Cabos once. It was surprisingly good.

I did not even know about it! Shows how much I pay attention.
Well the end result was pretty good. It is a combination of suggestions here and a little surfing we came up with...
1 bottle of Heinz chili sauce
Wostershire sauce @ 1 tsp
lemon juice @ 2 tsp
Franks Red Hot(did not have tobasco)
red peper flakes
Mix to taste.
It was like the pour and taste method of bartending and the in-laws liked it.
Thanks to all!!! My wife now believes that you can find ANYTHING on GT!
