I have a circa 2005 PM9. It has a new barrel and slide due to the barrel peening issue.
It is PERFECT when shooting FMJ loads, but 99% on premium SD loads!!!!
It is 100% over 200 rounds of WWB JHP ammo. I stopped using this as carry ammo due to quality concerns voiced by others.
Just finished up with testing a 100 round lot of Remington Golden Sabre. Things were going well until round #96 (
) when the round nose dived. This was easily cleared by racking the slide, but it means my weapon is not 100%!
I had a similar experience with another premium SD load...0ne nose dive in the last box! It was from a different magazine from the above.
I am now going to test another load.
Have any of you had this experience? I could take it in to a gunsmith, but how would he diagnose a one in a hundred malfunction? Advice please!
I am now testing another load, Gold Dot Short Barrel. Good for 40 rounds so far.
