I need to share files via an external hard drive with a Mac user. They need to be able to write and read from this external drive. Is FAT32 my only option? I haven't kept up with Mac stuff recently

I can read/write to an NTFS volume just fine, but OS X 10.3.5 (latest update) has increased compatibility with NTFS. Don't know what they could've changed.
If you are just sharing files and not running an OS on the drive FAT32 will do fine for you.
