Well Unc, I have always had an interest in the law from an enforcement standpoint, so, I took down the game law title at work and began perusing through to see if there is a statutory mandate concerning a daily bag limit when Trolls are the game in question. After searching high and low there appears to be no statutorial protection for trolls that I have been able to find, they do not even appear in the predator or nuisance game catagories that have no limit (although I feel that nuisance would be an apt definition for trolls). Therefore it is my conclusion that the daily bag limit for trolls is limited by the following catagories

(1) How much ammunition do you have available to expend on trolls?

(2) How many harvested trolls are you able to carry?

This does not take into consideration what one would do with harvested trolls. I doubt that they would have any nutritional value, and I don't know if anyone would want to wear a pair of Troll hide boots (durability and wearability might be an issue there) and there is only so much wall space that could be alotted for the mounted of harvested trolls. Being we are all gamesmen to a certain degree, would it be proper for us to leave them where they lay????

Well, shooting them & leaving them lay for the vultures, coyotes, etc, etc, is what we do with prarie dogs, & quite frankly, I can't see them being worth as much as a prarie dog (never seen trolls in a pet store @ $125.00/pair), so that seems to settle that.
When I went out last May for prarie dogs, I had 1000 rds for the .223, 1000 rds for the .22 Hornet & 500 rds for the .220 Swift, 4000 rds of rimfire, 250 rds for the .44 Mag & 50 snake loads for the .44 also.

1000
+ 1000
+ 500
+ 4000
+ 250
+ 50
___________
t)6800

Now since this was a standard supply for prarie dogs, I feel that I could expend at LEAST this much on trolls, per session.

There's a reason uncle has EIGHT loading presses, any5 on the bench at all times & ready to go!

?? Troll hide boots ??? Haven't given that any thought before. Would this come under the similar proscess for turning a sow's ear into a silk purse (or gun rug?)

Might deceased trolls be useful as filling for sandbags to reinforce river banks during flood stages?

Not sure Rabbi, as anything hit with a .220 Swift is kinda "squishy", like a pumpkin left out in the sun tooooo long. Hydrostatic shock is a beautiful thing......

Point is well taken. What if we got some really big sandbags, and had Bull dump the trolls directly off his horns into the sandbags. Might that work out?

If the bags were "self sealing" like a helicopter fuel bladder, it just might work.

Do you think it would be worth applying for a federal grant for a full scale feasibility study?

Most Definately !!!!

Even if we couldn't work out a feasibility of application, the Federal funds could be applied to the next Lagoon Party, thereby subsidizing the embezzeled funds & markedly increasing our..er the Dungeon's profitabillity ratio.
With this increase in funding, we could easily cover Tazz's problem of the mis-applied decimal point, & still manage a healthy profit, at the same time writing it off as an "educational expense" under the "no child left behind" program. All we need to do would be substitute Tazz's emotional age for his chronological age & we're covered.

Perhaps we could even see fit to upgrade some of Mongo's kitchen equipment & pass it off as necessary under a "school lunch" program.

If the calf can be of any service to help pad the numbers on the child deal let me know. It is never to early to teach these little critters to pull their own weight, especially when we are scamming, er.... reporting these things to aid in the eductaional process. I know the little thing isn't quite on the ground yet, but like I said, you can't start too early.

Goin to the vet monday to see if the plumbing is indoor or out, and that everything is functioning as it should be in there. I will make a full report. So far Mrs. Bullman (the svelte little jersey) is doing just fine.

Moo, Bull

Excellent analysis, Unkle. You da' man!

I think we can pick up even more grant money by expanding our study to differentiate the impact difference between African and European trolls.

Possibly even apply for a grant to search for trolls in Antarctica ?
This would be the ultimate way to keep the beer cold for the next Lagoon Bash.
