But it's so entertaining. I am trying to get the owner of a former mill pond here to stock it with catfish. He comes from several generation of yankees so it's doubtful he will.

I offered to do it for him (for the usual percentage of course)

I by unfortunate circumstance of birth am a Yankee, but Dad had the good sense to marry into family with roots in civilization. They went to great pains to make sure the sole scion to family heritage was schooled in the finer things of life.

RC cola and moon pies (or Dr. Pepper)

boiled peanuts

Greens

Catfish

Hushpuppies

Grits

side pork

red beans and rice (hoppin' john)

Somebody in the family snuck uo north and brought back the reipie for scrapple as well

I might say, I've had the entire list at one time or other. Some as recent as today and yesterday!

You can choke down just about anything with a bit of ranch dressing and a beer chaser.

while I like a good RC cola as much as the next man, I live in the home town of Dr. Charles Pepper himself. So, it remains my drink of choice.

Now we are talking a crisis. Why hasn't the Federal Government become involved? FEMA should have a Dr. Pepper supply chain immediately. There are priorities, a culture is at stake!
