Ahhh yes, the Matt Garth character in the movie "Midway"; Charleton Heston's least famous role.

Has the dungeon archives team ever researched to see if there ever was a commander Matt Garth that was killed at Midway, I just wondered if that part of the movie was fiction?

Twee-Twee has graciously allowed me an interlude from my demeaning defiling punishment sessions so that I can fulfill my scholarly Dungeon advisory and informational service function.

The Matt Garth role in the movie Midway was fictional, as was the role of his son involved with the Japanese-heritage woman. At the time that movie was made, the movie bigshots believed that, in a military-themed movie, a strong central character was needed to keep the audience focussed. Since there was no such character in the events of the battle, the Matt Garth role was invented to fill this requirement.

PLEASE!! We are all shooters here. Ladies and gentlemen, please don two layers of hearing protection.

Sorry, Rabbi, but if anybody invites you to jump in a cactus briar, it pretty much means that they are done with you (and you probably don't need to do it.) Snipe hunting is generally a symbolic (and optional) end to all activities.

Those who remember the John Houseman Smith Barney commercials may like this one:

How do we get our chamber sessions. We EARN them!

You come in here with a skull full of common-rabble-9-and-40 heresy, you leave thinking like a 10-Ringer!

Well, it's official. The 10-Ring now has a stronger financial rating than the United States.

The Dungeon financial types do not know whether to cheer or cry.

As long as the Guberment dooesn't owe the 10-Ring any money then we sould remain sound! However if they are indebt to us then we must be vigilent for our payments despite the economic situations!

Once the ice shows a minor crack, it is easier for the crack to widen.

A rating drop from AAA to AA+ is not severe IN ITSELF! Unfortunately, it suddenly becomes a whole lot easier to THEN drop for AA+ to AA. China's got to be laughing their tushes off right now.

Would you be laughing if you loaned money to a loser whose only solution is to print the money it is going to use to pay you back?

I didn't think so.
