A slug & buck combo load might be the way to go with a drone load.....
Since they're not waterfowl, a non-toxic load isn't required.

Good thought about the non-waterfowl angle. Make some up before the authorities close that loophole.

Aim for the gimble!
Friend of mine called the other day... he was sitting looking out at the view of Puget Sound from his house and all of a sudden a drone was coming straight at his house... he thought it was going to crash into his front door... but it flew over his house.

Good call on the gimble! I usually go for the FLIR unit, if they are blind they can't see you or where they are going! You'll do well to lead them a little, and swing/follow through with the shot! LOL

One thing I learned while duck hunting...shoot till they stop attacking...its an expensive adventure from the start, so filling the skies with flack to take down as many as you could always worked well!

Another non-migratory point here......
No reason to have a 3-shot limit !
I see a market building for a belt-fed 12 Ga.
Or possibly a Gattling !

Here's whatcha do.... you watch the end of the runway from a distance... and when they come in low and slow or take off... ya wait until juuuuussst as they pass and then you BLAST THEM! And if you can hit that rear stabilizer... it's go'n down.........
Then you get the hell out of there!
That's how you do it in, ummm, Iran... yeah... that's the ticket...

I was getting ready to send Willie Robertson of Duck Dynasty an e-mail for a DRONE Call...Low and be hold he already has the Home-Land Security Model in my favorite colors...you know the ones that don't run! They are touted to bring the DRONES in for a pass-over shot.
Maybe there is a market for some decoys of hunters with their shotguns or rifles that can be used to lure the Drones in as well!
Oops!

I'd use two hands...Oops! I use a 30" barrel and an extra full choke! This yield my best pattern for long range shots! I was in the yard today and heard a small plane overhead, I started to draw a bead on it only to find it was a Cessna! That was close!

Had to ask, as I've got 14 or 15 different choke tubes for the 590-A1. This gives me a point of reference.

This brings up an idea my Father and I were working on prior to his passing. Drawing on his wartime experience with the 40mm and especially the quad-fifty AA guns, we figured it would be possible to take 4 large mag equipped Ruger 10/22s and mount them to a Barco-lounger on a lazy Susan type pivot. It would be very easy to rig up a holder to keep track of your beverage with this system.
I may have to go back and dig up our blueprints.

But Bull, you'll have "Flower Power Pattern" LOL
Chute, the Louisiana boys of Red Jacket did one of those rotating setups using 3 Sagia 12ga on one of their Son's of Guns shows, their first attempt was a Gatling style setup but it got scrapped...

Really not giving the drones a sporting chance are we. I should have called my shotgun choke "dial a drone" instead.

Well my Drone Watch is over for today! I thought I heard one was coming in, it turned out to be a Louisiana Mosquito! Swatted him and he went down!
