Cooper on handguns?
Anyone got a clue where to find this? Anyone got a copy they want to sell or loan?
I have looked everywhere on the net and can't find it at all.

Cooper on Handguns
Hey Aug: I put in "out of print books" in Google and came up with the website www.abebooks.com, put in Jeff Cooper in author and found your title along with many others. Selection # 213 is it but it's a steep price of $74.95. ;P
Here's the link: http://dogbert.abebooks.com/servlet/...magefield.y=16
Good luck

This is starting to suck. That was the cheapest copy as well milkdud. The other copies were 125 plus!
Wasn't this a "magazine" type book sold as news stands? Seems real pricey if that is the case.
I just can't find this book anywhere and I can't afford $100 either.

I can understand your frustration. IIRC, it was a great book/magazine that I spent many many hours reading back in the mid-seventies. It was the first "gun" book that I ever bought, and I can remember some of the content to this day.
Unfortunately I was forced to throw away my copy during one of my ex-wifes rants about being a pack-rat.
Good luck in your quest. A quick search on Amazon showed the same results as already mentioned.

I don't know if you want to go this route, but the Library of Congress has a copy. It is call number: TS537 .C624. I think that you might be able to request it through your local library.

Be aware that there were TWO issues of this excellent tome; the first one had a red cover, circa early 70s. I still have mine, and still re-read it a couple of times per year. The information is timeless.
The second issue was late 70s-early 80s and had a black cover. It was an abridged version, missing several chapters, with one or two additions.
The first edition is definitely the better of the two.
$75-$100+ is the going rate? Good grief; perhaps I should put mine on FleaBay???;Q

If you have to have a first edition, you're going to pay through the nose. I've never laid my eyes on one a number of Coopers books are available through Dillon...

Brian Enos also has a lot of interesting things to say about "practical" shooting - and I practical without meaning realistic. Practical as in IPSC and USPSA. But I digress...
Hopefully someone will reprint the full version one day. Or put it on CD in a .pdf format.
The list -

Yes, please...
I just hope one day, when I'm your age, I'm saying the same things about my (yet to be published) Clint Smith dogma
May have my own copy soon though...
