I was just over on the GNG forum trying to download some pix in one of the threads and all I get is a red "X" in a box. This just started happening today - I used to get the pix on command. Any help on how to fix it?

Just clicking on the pic link. If I right click on the picture box the 'save image as' is grayed out.

I use IE 6.0.2800 and XP Home.

One work around for stuff like this is to do a Print Screen. Then paste it in a graphics editor. Cut the portion you are interested in on the screen shot and Paste it into a new window. You can then save that picture.

Granted, you may be giving up resolution but it is one way to capture the graphic. At times, this can also be disabled preventing you from capturing images this way as well.

Check IE 6.x's Tools/Internet Options/Advanced section, and inspect the tick boxes related to images and such under the "Multimedia" subsection.

Also check the Internet Options to see what the tick box selection is for "file download" allowed/disabled in whatever "Zone" GT appears in (Internet Zone, Trusteds, etc.)

Other thought would be any popup blocker sw that you're running could be interferring. One of them, and the name escapes me, requires you to hold the "cntrl" key which clicking a link in order to allow the subsequent window, linked destination, java popup windows, etc., to function.
